My faith story is simple, but it comes from a heart that has experienced quite a bit of pain.
Losing someone that heavily influenced your faith story feels a lot like losing faith itself. As I look back, I realize it was what I needed to truly take the journey to finding faith for myself.
Losing my mother was one of the hardest things I’ve had to walk through, but MY faith has grown as a result. It was no longer my mama’s faith, but my own.
I have not attained expert level status, as I have grown more in some areas requiring faith than others – yet I thank God every day for the opportunity to exercise that measure He’s given to each of us.
I now have something real that I can pass on to my children, as my mother did for me when she was alive. A living, abiding faith in God.
