Hi! My name is Dee (well, DeAnna officially!).
I was born and raised a West Texas girl (ever hear of the movie Friday Night Lights…yep, that’s me!), but have lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and currently, Missouri again though I’ll always be a Texas girl at heart.  In all my travels, I have been blessed to be daughter, wife, mom, friend, and sister in Christ.

My love for Jesus started at a very young age and though I’ve struggled at times through my life, my faith has always held strong.  He is my stronghold, refusing to give up on me, despite tough blows in life.  I’m thankful that there is nothing I can do to earn His love and that He is always there to pick me up, love me, and hold me. The truth that Jesus chose me that day, thousands of years ago on a cross that was rightfully mine, anchors me.

Matt and I have been married 7 years this past February 2016.  In 2011, we welcomed our twins, Kynlee (girl) and Terynn (boy).   I have my MBA in Business and work full time for a healthcare software company.  In our spare time (hmmm….not sure what that is really :)), we enjoy spending time with our kiddos, traveling, sports, and just having fun.

One of our greatest adventures as a family has been serving together.  Whether it’s as Sunday School teacher, working with the youth, preparing meals for the homeless, or just serving coffee at church, I want my hands to be Christ’s. I pray that my legacy as a mom will be that my kids saw Jesus’ heart, hands, and words in all that I did.  I’m not perfect, but I pray that His light will shine in me brightly enough that they can confidently know I loved the Lord.

I’m excited to see how the Lord works through Gracefully Truthful, which is a new adventure for me, in the months and years ahead.  I will be helping with the Faces of Grace portion of this ministry, and I can’t wait to hear from you and to share your stories!
