Gracefully Truthful

Hello. It’s nice to meet you. 🙂

I’m a Kansas City transplant who was born in Colorado and spent my years growing up in Wyoming. I arrived in KC for college and set down roots post graduation. Thankfully the rest of my family has moved as well over the years, so now my parents, brother, sister, and all their families live in the area. I love our weekly family dinners and being able to see my nieces and nephew grow up. I desire to be married and trust the Lord and His plan for that. He writes the best stories after all. 😉

In addition to spending time with my family, I delight in serving those around me, whether that is at work, church, or helping grab something off the top shelf for the stranger at the grocery store. I lead the women’s ministry at church and have a passion to see women find their identity in the Lord. I have also had the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Haiti, and Estonia for missions trips and serve on the missions team at church. I know the Lord knows the plans He has for me, and I look forward to seeing those unfold as I say yes to Him, especially since He has proven Himself so faithful through previous adventures.

“And what of Sara as a person?” you may ask (or you might not be at all).
I am loyal to the point of feeling bad if I change toothpaste brands. I find people watching to be a professional sport and participate in it wherever I find myself: international airports, local coffee shops, museums, sporting events, etc. On the flip side, it rarely occurs to me that others would be watching me, and I need to figure that out since my facial expressions typically accessorize what I am saying. Bringing joy to others makes me happy and making others laugh is a particular challenge I enjoy meeting. A perfect weekend would include conversations with friends, a good book or puzzle, Jesus time, and refreshing productivity.

Serving on the GT team is an answer to prayer in a variety of ways, and I am excited to see all the Lord does moving forward.
