The GT Weekend – Borders Week 1

At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer, rest your soul in reflective journaling, and spend time worshiping the Creator who longs for intimacy with each of us!

Journal Prompts

1. How do you wrestle with the tension of praying big prayers and knowing they might be answered in a different way than you’ve asked? How have you seen God move mightily when you’ve asked in faith?
2. The Lord often asks us to be faithful with the little things He’s given us first before we’ll be given more. What little ways has God been asking you to step out in faith and engage with people? Look this week for someone the Lord brings you; stop, look and act when you see them!
3. Try as we might, we can’t hide behind our pretty little masks before the Throne. Jesus can see through our perfect outer shell into the hurt, sadness, and pain. He’s reaching out His hand to you today, will you accept it?

Lord Jesus, you are the Lord over all. Let me come before you with humility and let go of my “perfect face” I wear before You and others. Father, draw me into deeper communion with You so I feel more confident walking with you while I bear my heart. Carry it gently as I remember how perfectly You love me, that I can trust You completely.

Father, I’ve struggled with praying big prayers for years. For asking for healing. For asking for a baby. For asking for peace in strained relationships. Forgive me Father for doubting Your goodness and omniscient power in those moments. Thank you that You are faithful, even when you don’t answer my prayers on my timeline. Encourage my spirit with the presence of Your Spirit. Show me who You’d have me talk with this week Lord, keep my eyes open to where You’re directing me. Let me walk as one with a soul on fire for You Jesus!
