The GT Weekend!
At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to
reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer,
rest your soul in reflective journaling,
and spend time worshiping the Creator who
longs for intimacy with each of us!

1) “Come and Follow Me” The offer Jesus gives His disciples to follow Him is still available to us. He continues to pursue us as we journey through life; life to the fullest is the result of our acceptance of this gift. We can accept, follow, and share this pursuit with others around us. What will you do today? Are you ready to come and follow Jesus? Write to us at prayer@gracefullytruthful.com and tell us about your decision!
2) Take time today to feel the heaviness of sin. Think through the weight of your personal, individual sin. Spend time thinking about humanity’s collective sin and God’s emotion in regard to our sin. Process through God sending a solution, Jesus, to redeem you, all of us, back to himself. He loves you that much, my dear. How does that make you feel?
3) The temptation to classify sin is strong; we decide cheating, stealing, or murdering are the main offenders. We readily excuse our white lies, gossip, or over eating while telling ourselves we’re still good people since we’ve never killed anyone. The reality is that sin is sin. Any sin breaks our relationship with the Holy and Perfect God we serve. How do you think of sin? Where are your blind spots in seeing the sin hiding in your life?
Praying Scripture back to the One who wrote it in the first place is a great way to jump start our prayer-life! Pray this passage from Matthew 7:24-27 back to the Lord and
let His Spirit speak to you through it!
24Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. It collapsed with a great crash.”
Prayer Journal
Father, You’ve been so faithful in showing me my sin in a gentle, corrective way. I confess and repent of my desire to be noticed and honored, my pride is in the way of meeting ‘the least of these’ that You’ve put before me. Forgive me Father. Set my feet on solid ground Lord, build my house on the firm foundation of You, Jesus.
Lord as I mourn over the sin in my life and the sins of the whole Earth, show me Your heart for Your created children. Use this time of reflection to break my heart over the lostness of people around me and their deep need for a Savior. Embolden me to share Your truth with them even when I’m so shy and nervous Lord. Holy Spirit, I depend on You to lead our conversations. Let the listener feel Your love through our conversations. Lord, for Your glory!
