The GT Weekend!
At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to
reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer,
rest your soul in reflective journaling,
and spend time worshiping the Creator who
longs for intimacy with each of us!
Worship Through Journaling
Worship Through Journaling
1) Reflect on the past year of your life; take note of the places you have encountered disappointment. What areas of your life are you feeling hopelessness? Where do you need the Lord to finish the good work He has begun in you? Journal those places out and ask the Spirit to bring healing and encouragement.
2) The characteristics of God are numerous and mysterious. Think through His power and might while at the same time, His gentle and kind nature. These are not at odds with each other, but work in perfect harmony. When have you seen God go to war on your behalf? Where are you waiting to see Him work in this way? When have you seen His gentle hand at work in your life? Share these moments with us at prayer@gracefullytruthful.com.
3) In Isaiah 1:18-20 we see the Lord offer forgiveness and restoration to His people. He offers the same forgiveness to us if we are willing and obedient. Write out these verse and study them this week. Focus on the stipulations of the verse, the imagery, and the beautiful result of the words of the Lord.
Praying Scripture back to the One who wrote it in the first place is a great way to jump start our prayer-life! Pray this passage from Acts 17:24-27 back to the Lord and
let His Spirit speak to you through it!
The God who made the world and everything in it—he is Lord of heaven and earth—does not live in shrines made by hands. 25 Neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives everyone life and breath and all things. 26 From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. 27 He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
Prayer Journal
Father, Your character is so complex and mysterious, my brain can’t compute Your vastness. This week You have been reminding me of your ability to listen completely to every single person with your full attention at the same time. That blows me away Lord, I can’t keep up with half the people speaking to me at any given moment. I know You are ready to battle on my behalf, Lord, if I only call on Your name!
Lord, You have blessed me with forgiveness beyond what I could even think to ask for. You’ve cleansed me and made be a new person in You. As I remember the forgiveness I’ve received from You, soften my heart towards others You have called me to forgive. Let me be quick to reflect Your grace and extend that forgiveness to the people in my life that are difficult to love on.
