The GT Weekend!
At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to
reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer,
rest your soul in reflective journaling,
and spend time worshiping the Creator who
longs for intimacy with each of us!

1) Tawnya noted in Monday’s Journey Study how God initiated the first two verbs in John 3:16, loved and gave. The verse closes with a heart response on our part: believe. Not a mental assent, but a full embrace and trust on the work Jesus did on our behalf as He offered up His life as a sacrifice on our behalf. Where in your life are you struggling to believe His good character? Or maybe you’ve never crossed the line of faith and you’re not sure you’ve ever believed for yourself. What’s holding you back?
2) What does the offer of “will not perish” mean to you? Think of the moment you chose to trust Christ as your personal Savior, what did this truth unlock for you on that day, whether you fully realized it or not. If you’ve never made that decision, supposing that the offer is genuine, true, and trustworthy, what would it mean for you? What impact would it have? Where do you need that kind of hope? A hope that will not perish? Bring those places before the Lord and ask for His peace.
3) What do you have that will last for all time? Our lives are so fleeting! Only a quick glance through the news or even your social media feed will remind you how temporary we are. Life as usual one moment and a tragic loss the next. Spend some time in praise and worship to the Savior for the precious gift of eternal life. It’s a gift we cannot begin to fathom or comprehend! Speak some psalms out loud to Him (Check out Psalm 136 to get you started!), write your own praise, or spend some quiet moments in a closed closet slowly repeating the truth of John 3:16, letting the Spirit speak to your heart!
Praying Scripture back to the One who wrote it in the first place is a great way to jump start our prayer-life! Pray this passage from Romans 3:22 back to the Lord and
let His Spirit speak to you through it!
The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction.
Prayer Journal
Righteous God. Fully Just. Blameless. Perfect in holiness. Vast in power. Understanding beyond human comprehension. Creator. Yet, still You invite us to be Your children. You offer the invitation for us to call you Abba Daddy, Father. Lord, the limitless capacities of Your love make my heart tremble. How dare You extend Your hand to mine, lowly and sinful as I am?!
But You do.
You long for me to reach out, guilt free, and dance in Your love as a little girl, full of trusting faith in all you say You are. You are for us. You extend Your love to all, with no distinction.
How magnificent You are!
