The GT Weekend!
At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to
reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer,
rest your soul in reflective journaling,
and spend time worshiping the Creator who
longs for intimacy with each of us!

1) Kendra shared that “Hopelessness has been hanging heavy here, Sisters.” Does that resonate with you somewhere? Maybe it’s a relationship, a loss, buried under a load of stress, financial strain, or the highs and lows of emotions….Hopelessness hangs heavy. We fight Hopelessness by finding solid footing on which to stand. Here’s the secret, “It’s God’s Word!” Dig in, girl. Hope is waiting. Just do it, sit with Him. Stop the everything, pause the worry and hang up the heaviness just to sit. Open His Word, 1 Peter, Psalms, Hosea, or Genesis. The where isn’t nearly as important as the Who you are sitting with. Tell us where you landed at the GT Community on FB!
2) Doesn’t a lot of the world we experience negatively make much more sense when we realize we have an adversary? Shannon shares how our enemy desires only to steal, kill, and destroy us as believers in Jesus. He is ready to bring false accusations against us over and over to break us down, making us doubt the truths we know from Scripture. Where are you seeing a pattern of lies you’re being tempted to believe? Where do you see the enemy working to steal something the Savior has given you? Write these out, share them with a friend, and spend time fighting by holding onto truth and being transparent with believing friends.
3) Loving people is hard work! ‘Love one another’ is easy to say, and ridiculously difficult to do. But God calls us, over and over, to love genuinely and constantly. Graciously, this task is not ours to handle on our own; in fact, it’s impossible without the Spirit of the Lord! Think through who the hard-to-love people are in your life. Shorten the list to 2 or 3, then set an alarm on your phone to pray for them at the same time every day this week. Ask God for opportunities to share His love with them, and be ready to obey!
Praying Scripture back to the One who wrote it in the first place is a great way to jump start our prayer-life! Pray this passage from 1 Peter 2:11-15 back to the Lord and
let His Spirit speak to you through it!
Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and exiles to abstain from sinful desires that wage war against the soul. Conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that when they slander you as evildoers, they will observe your good works and will glorify God on the day he visits. Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the emperor as the supreme authority or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good. For it is God’s will that you silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good
Prayer Journal
Father God, it’s so easy for me to get comfortable here, and to pour my energies into preserving and maintaining that comfort that I forget the ‘real life’ You have called me. I replace Your priorities in life with my own.
Remind me often this weekend, Spirit, to live with gentleness, to stay focused on the eternal, so that others will see You in the way I live. Give me courage to bravely open my mouth and share about You because You are the most important priority to me. Teach my to love well, regardless of who you put in my path to love. Thank You for graciously allowing me to share You, over and over each day!
