The GT Weekend!
At Gracefully Truthful, weekends aren’t for “checking out”.
Use this time to invite the Almighty’s fullness into you life in a deeper way!
Saturdays and Sundays are a chance to
reflect, rest, and re-center our lives onto Christ.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with other women in prayer,
rest your soul in reflective journaling,
and spend time worshiping the Creator who
longs for intimacy with each of us!

1) Waiting isn’t something many of us are excited to do. Hurry and instant are easily preferred over slow, wait, and long pause. Yet, waiting is often the method the Lord chooses to teach us deeply about Himself. Where in your life do you wish you could exchange your hurry for some slowed waiting? What part of your heart wishes for more time, for a slowing and savoring? The Lord delights in that heart attitude! Decide to be intentional this week and set a goal with specific time parameters, your Bible, a quiet space, and maybe a candle where you can sit with the Lord, be His student, and learn to wait.
2) Does religion feel weighty and heavy? Do you struggle with wondering if you’re “good enough”, or maybe you feel like you already know you aren’t. What part about the Christian faith feels like a burden? Give pause and slow here as you think and pray through this. What truths shared from Paul’s passion about finding freedom in grace instead of the weighty chains of the Law bring encouragement and life for you? What places in your heart do you long to dance? Spend time this weekend with the passages given in Bri’s Journey Study, and delight in grace!
3) Paul gave the whole of his life, after choosing to follow Jesus, to declaring the gospel and spreading the Light of Life for all to know. If you are a believer, the same calling is upon your life. No, we aren’t all pastors or missionaries to foreign lands, but carrying the Light of the gospel is the mission for each who call Jesus “Lord”. Spend time in Matthew 28:18-20 this weekend. Write it out. Slowly speak it out loud, giving emphasis to different words, letting the truth of them sink in. This is your mission, Sister. Own it!
Praying Scripture back to the One who wrote it in the first place is a great way to jump start our prayer-life! Pray this passage from Matthew 28:18-20 back to the Lord and
let His Spirit speak to you through it!
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Prayer Journal
All authority belongs to You, King Jesus, Ruler of All, and with it, You have commissioned me to make disciples. No, before that, You have appointed me to simply “Go”. It’s easy for me to think that command means across the world, and my insides shrink, but Your plan is bigger, broader, and deeper than that. You intend for me to “Go” across the street to my neighbor, to engage the cashier at the grocery, the lady on the street corner, and the tattooed teen making my coffee.
Bring these faces to my mind, Lord Jesus. Spirit, remind me to simply “Go”, and then give me the faith, O God, to boldly obey, even if my insides quake. Remind me that carrying your light so all might be freed from chains of sin to dance in grace is always worth it.
